Hive Check and Mite Test
Checking the hive on a regular basis is essential to the health of the whole colony. It’s important to make sure the queen is doing what she is doing best, laying eggs. We check to see if the hive shows any signs of overcrowding, if new brood is emerging and if there are any signs of disease or mites.
Mites can weaken a hive, even kill the whole colony. Therefore checking mite count is necessary to make sure the bees stay healthy. Have fun watching the video.
